Eugene (Gene) Hansen started this company in January of 1988 due to the Railroad slump at the time, not knowing if he was going to have a job with BNSF, he decided to have a backup plan in place at the end of the current contract. Gene has always liked to help people and liked to tinker. He has taken several correspondence course thorough the years: Basic Construction Wiring, Foley Belsaw Locksmithing, Foley Belsaw Small Engine Repair, Foley Belsaw Chain Saw Repair, Foley Belsaw Advanced Locksmithing, Foley Belsaw Foreign Automotive Locksmithing. Most of what he has learned has come from hands on the books and manuals help but it is not like tearing something apart and make it work again (with no extra pieces).
Hansen's Locksmithing is a member of the Nebraska Locksmith Association, Iowa Locksmith Association, South Dakota Locksmith Association, ALOA, The Internet Locksmith, The National Locksmith and a few other sites.
Gene still works for the BNSF Rail Road, but gets his most satisfaction by Locksmithing and helping people.
